2nd Prize in the category Oboe
Timofei started playing the oboe at the age of seven. He is currently a student of the Saint-Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Music School studying oboe with Denis Bystrov. Besides oboe and cor anglais, he studies playing the oboe d'amore and plans to study the oboe da caccia. He has attended a number of master classes of Alex Klein, Yuri Likin, László Hadady and Gregor Witt. He is a Vladimir Spivakov's Charity Foundation scholarship holder.

Timofei is a laureate of more than 25 music competitions, e. g. the 1st Prize and the Grand Prix at the Silver Trumpets Russian competition, Special Prize at the 9th Evgeny Mravinsky International Youth Competition, Grand Prix at the Polyphonica wind and polyphonic music competition in Saint-Petersburg.
His fruitful year 2015 brought the 1st Prize at the Dmitry Shostakovich International Competition in oboe and chamber orchestra categories and the Golden Nutcracker for playing the oboe and the cor anglais at the Nutcracker International TV competition.
At the age of eleven Timofei joined the Saint Petersburg State Capella Symphony Orchestra in a concert conducted by Gregor Witt. Aged twelve he performed in Mariinsky Theatre together with The Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet. He also has participated in the New Names festival in Voronezh, the Green Noise festival in Surgut and Khanty-Mansiisk, and the Flowers of Russia cultural festival in Minsk and Athens. He also likes to play in ensembles and is a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra Tempo Primo.
