Eliška Hejhalová

Her grandfather Jaroslav Kopáček, a clarinettist and an emeritus member of Czech Philharmonics, lead her to music, towards which she inclined since she was little.

She started to play the recorder at the age of six and continued with the transverse flute when she was nine with Jaroslava Maťáková at Roudnice nad Labem.

She is currently a student of the gymnasium at Roudnice nad Labem and she prepares for her studies at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

She was awarded the 1st Prize at the Novohrad flute 2011 competition, she is a multiple winner of national music school competitions in both solo and chamber music. She received the Best instrumental performance prize at the national music schools competition 2016 in Jindřichův Hradec.

She is a solo flutist of the Europera youth symphony orchestra and she regularly tours with it across Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. She has performed with Czech Philharmonics in Rudolfinum.
