Márton Bubreg

Saxophonist Márton Bubreg has been competed in Concertino Praga for the second time. Together with his brother, clarinettist Bence Bubreg, they become the overall winner in 2018 as duo "Bubreg2".

Despite having Hungarian roots, Márton Bubreg was born in Germany in 2004 now lives in Austria. He started playing the saxophone at the age of 5 and then continued his studies under Koryun Asatryan at the University of Music in Munich. He has taken masterclasses with Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Christian Wirth, Joonatan Rautiola, Lars Mlekusch and the Rascher Saxophone Quartet. In addition to winning prizes at numerous international competitions in Japan, Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, Ukraine, Hungary, Andorra, Serbia and Croatia, Márton has also performed as a soloist with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Tirol Symphony Orchestra and the Tyrolean Chamber Orchestra InnStrumenti. He has performed at many prestigious concert halls around the world, including the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the National Philharmonic Hall in Kiev, the Gasteig in Munich, the Rudolfinum in Prague and Carnegie Hall in New York. Márton and his brother Bence released the debut CD of the Duo Bubreg2 as the overall winners of 52nd Concertino Praga International Radio Competition in 2018.
