Czech violinist Klára Erdingerová received in category Violin Honorable mention.

Klára Erdingerová was born in Brno in 2002. She began playing the violin at the age of four under the tutelage of her father, the conductor Josef Staněk, and she has studied under Professor František Novotný since 2008. She has also competed in a number of national and international music competitions since 2008, where she has received the first or second prize (the Josef Muzika International Violin Competition, the Kocian Violin Competition and the Josef Micka Violin Competition). She has also worked with Czech chamber soloists and has been a frequent participant in the Mozart’s Children concert cycle for talented young musicians with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and in the Brno Philharmonic’s subscription season.

 

In the autumn of 2013, she was selected to perform with the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Jiří Bělohlávek on the basis of her selection recordings.

 

In 2015, she became the absolute winner of the Prešporský Paganini competition in Bratislava, she won 1st place in the Classicism competition in the spring of 2016 and she was awarded the title of laureate and a special prize for her performance of Ernst’s Rondo Papageno at the International Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius.
