Czech pianist Eliška Tkadlčíková recievd 2nd prize in Piano category.

Eliška Tkadlčíková studies in the English section at the Olomouc-Hejčín Grammar School and at the same time is a student at the P. J. Vejvanovský Conservatoire in Kroměříž under the tutelage of Karel Košárek.

Her greatest successes include 1st place and the title of Absolute Winner at the nationwide Prague Junior Note competition for young pianists in Prague (2017), 1st prize at a nationwide Arts Primary School competition (2017), the title of Laureate of the Prague Conservatoire’s Young Piano competition (2017) and 1st place at the international Broumov Key competition (2018). In the autumn of 2018, she received the 2nd prize at the International Smetana Piano Competition in Pilsen.

She played the 1st movement of Beethoven’s 1st piano concerto in C major accompanied by an orchestra in Olomouc in 2017, as well as the Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin (2017 in Olomouc and 2018 in Pardubice), and she has also played in the subscription season of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Olomouc. In 2018, she played the Carnival of the Animals by C. Saint-Saëns.

In July 2018, she had a solo recital as part of the “Treasures of Broumov” music festival and she performed in Prague’s Rudolfinum in October 2018.

She regularly attends piano courses in Mikulov led by Ivo Kahánek and this year she completed the International Summer Piano Courses at the Prague Conservatoire under Martin Kasík.
